Hi Everyone and welcome to the American Heritage Tour-Central Blog for 2007!
Thanks for visiting our site. Just an update on what will be happening on Sunday September 23rd. All students will meet the buses at the SEARS shopping plaza at 6:45am. Please check in with your group leader so we know you arrived. We will leave at 7:15 sharp! Have your jackets on and be dressed in your touring clothes. Remember to have a bagged lunch with you with a couple of snacks and beverages with a screw top...no cans please.
You can bring one suitcase for under the bus and one bag on the bus with you, such as a knapsack. Bring cards, books, mad libs, trivia games, and other items to entertain yourself on the bus. It is okay to bring a pillow and blanket or even your favorite stuffed animal. If you have a DVD with a PG rating and want to share it with the other students on the bus, bring it along. Just make sure you have your name on it so we can get it back to you.
Our fist day will be a long day of riding on the bus. Be sure to say hello to your driver, they work long hours and drive in some pretty heavy traffic. Let them know you appreciate them!
We will head straight to Ellis Island where we will take a short ferry ride to the Island. We will spend some time touring there and then we will visit the Statue of Liberty. After visiting Miss Liberty, we will load up on the buses and we are off to Philadelphia, the birthplace of our nation. We will have a nice spaghetti dinner in Philly before heading to our first hotel.
Bring a bathing suit as we plan on swimming for our evening activity!
Hope you are all as excited as I am to get on the road!
See you Sunday bright and early!
